The Canberra Demons are delighted to announce former QBE Sydney Swans Academy player Adam Kinasch has accepted a one-year offer to join the club for the 2019 NEAFL season.
The 19-year-old is currently undergoing rehabilitation on a torn ACL he suffered in June of 2017 and having neared the completion of his rehabilitation program Kinasch recently suffered a minor setback injuring his hamstring.
Canberra General Manager of Football, Shaun Young is confident Kinasch is capable of returning bigger and better in 2019.
“Adam suffered a significant injury setback in 2017 but we remain confident that he is still capable of making a positive contribution to our playing group both on and off the field,” said Young.
“We are all well aware of the skill level and pure football ability that Adam possesses, but most importantly he also brings great character and invaluable experience to our playing group.”
Kinasch, a product of the Pennant Hills FC says he will aim to repay the faith Canberra has shown in him as he continues his rehabilitation.
“I really appreciate Canberra providing me with the opportunity to continue my development in the NEAFL competition. For Kade and the staff to put faith in my footballing ability means a lot, I can’t wait to get back to my full fitness and really become a player with an ability to play a few positions well,” he said.
Kinasch will begin pre-season training following the completion of his rehabilitation program.
