Angus Baker has claimed his first ever Best & Fairest Award, presented with the highest individual honour at the club’s annual awards night.
Baker’s Best & Fairest win adds another accolade to an outstanding season for the Canberra defender, who won the NEAFL's Rising Star award and was named in the NEAFL's Team of the Year.
The 21-year-old was named among the Demons' best 14 times from 17 games this season, averaging 30 disposals, seven marks and five rebound 50s playing off half-back.
Taking the lead in Round 14, Baker led the award for the remainder of the night after what was a stellar season for the Sydney Swans Academy product.
Baker polled 164 votes to win comfortably ahead of runner-up Mitchell Maguire (115 votes), third-placed Alex Smout (110 votes) and fourth placed Tom Highmore (86 votes).
