Canberra have secured the services of defender Riley Budd until at least the end of 2020.
The 20-year-old was due to come out of contract at season's end, but is now tied to the Demons' until the end of the 2020 season, becoming the second player to re-sign with the club this week.
Hailing from a volleyball background, Budd is a former junior Australian representative and standing at 193cm tall his athleticism and endurance has made him an exciting prospect.
Recruited from the GWS GIANTS Academy, Budd played 13 NEAFL matches for Canberra in 2019 and told canberrademons.com.au he was excited to be remaining in the nation's capital.
“I'm over the moon to be at the club for another year,” Budd said.
"With disappointing results this year I'm extremely keen and eager to get back out there and show the competition what we can do."
