The Canberra Demons are pleased to announce Jack Adamson, Liam Lupton and Matt Hambleton have been signed to ‘Rookie Contracts’ ahead of the 2019 NEAFL season.

The trio have been training with the main playing squad since November and will now get the chance to prove their worth at NEAFL level.
Canberra Head-Coach, Kade Klemke, says Adamson, Lupton and Hambleton have set a great example for other local players in utilising the Canberra program to transition into a higher-level of football.
“I’m very excited for all the boys,” Klemke said.
“Liam represents a young footballer who hasn’t had things go his way with injury and missing out on a lot of football. However, he’s a leading example within the local program of a young man who is willing and determined to do absolutely everything to get the best of himself.”
“It’s also pleasing for Matt who encountered a steep learning curve since joining our program, but he certainly has the ingredients to continue to develop within our senior environment – he’s a promising prospect for the future.”
“Jack recently left the GWS Academy program and has used the current pre-season phase to showcase his talent and commitment, he is thoroughly deserving of an opportunity at NEAFL level.”
