Canberra sign Nick Eynaud for 2019

The Canberra Demons are delighted to confirm the signing of former QBE Sydney Swans Academy product Nick Eynaud for the 2019 NEAFL season.

Canberra have announced the signing of Nick Eynaud for the 2019 NEAFL season.

Having been plagued by injuries in recent seasons the medium-sized midfielder is eager to impress his new teammates as he begins pre-season training this week.

"For me it’s just a case of gaining that trust from the coaching staff and players to hopefully be a consistent starter in the NEAFL next year, but team success is what I’m hungry for the most, he said."

Having kept a close eye on Canberra during 2018 the Pennant Hills junior insists he didn’t take much convincing in relocating to the Nation’s Capital.

“From the outside looking in, the team looked really tight and it seemed like something pretty special was going on here this year, so when Canberra became an option for 2019 It didn’t take me much convincing.”

“I spoke to Angus (Baker) about the club and he couldn’t have spoken higher of the place, the balance between an elite, professional environment and that club footy feel was something I was pretty drawn to as well.”

The 19-year-old joins his former Sydney teammate Adam Kinasch in relocating to Canberra for 2019.

"It’s been great to be able to make the move with someone that I’ve grown up playing junior footy with and become good mates with over the years.”

“We both have similar goals for next year, so it’ll be good to be able to push each other throughout the year.”

Welcome to the club Nick!
