Canberra playing-coach Kade Klemke will sit out the remainder of 2019 NEAFL season due to an ongoing knee condition.

The 28-year-old fronted the Canberra playing group on Tuesday and confirmed that his battered body had forced him to call a premature end to his 2019 season.
Limited to just 5 games in 2019, Klemke has battled with knee issues for the past two seasons and says his latest injury, made playing on this season almost impossible.
Canberra's General Manager of Football Shaun Young praised the resilience of Klemke ahead of Canberra's clash with Redland this weekend.
"To lose a player of his calibre is no doubt a blow, but as he said to his teammates when he spoke to them last week he has enormous faith in our guys to step up and fill the void."
