Star midfielder Mitch Maguire is set to play his 50th NEAFL game this Saturday when Canberra clash with Redland at Manuka Oval.
Recruited from the GWS GIANTS Academy in 2017, Maguire has since established himself as one of the fiercest midfielders in the NEAFL competition.
2018 proved the star's greatest season to date where he recorded career high average clearances (5), disposals (28.5) and tackles (4.5), and sealed the season with the NEAFL's Rising Star award.
In 2019, the 20-year-old has continued his prolific ball winning ways, kicking off the season with a 36-disposal haul against the Gold Coast.
A humble and valued player amongst his teammates, Maguire was originally scheduled to play his 50th game last weekend, but a minor hamstring tear sidelined the Mirrool product for a week.
Canberra host Redland this Saturday afternoon at Manuka Oval from 12pm AEST.
