Canberra midfielder, Connor Owen-Auburn has today informed management of his desire to move back to Sydney in 2020.

Recruited from the GWS GIANTS Academy, Owen Auburn arrived in Canberra having not played a competitive football match in over a year, fracturing his foot in round 3 of 2017 playing for GWS in the NEAFL.
The 21-year-old went on to play 11 games for Canberra in his debut season, playing an integral role in the Demons' midfield.
Owen-Auburn continued to flourish in 2019 with his best performance coming in Round 4, collecting 20 disposals (11 contested), six marks and four inside 50s, claiming the NEAFL's Round 4 Rising Star nomination.
He played 26 games in his two seasons at Canberra.
“Connor has been an outstanding contributor to Canberra for the last two years, and we respect his decision to return home and be closer to his family,” Canberra General Manager of Football, Shaun Young said.
“We have been in constant communication with Connor throughout the season, and we would like to acknowledge the way he has conducted himself throughout the year.
“As always, Connor has put the team first, and he will forever be a part of our family."
