Defender Tom Highmore has been awarded Canberra's Players' Player Award for the second consecutive year.
Running off half-back, Highmore was again one of the Demons’ most consistent contributors this season, named in the NEAFL's Team of the Year for the first time in his career.
A rising star for a number of years, the 21-year-old earned his place among the competition’s elite in 2019, averaging 24 disposals, nine marks, and five rebound 50's, ranking third in the competition for intercepts and second for marks.
Promoted to the co-vice captaincy this year, Highmore’s leadership has been crucial to the club’s development.
Setting a terrific example on and off the field, Highmore has lead the way with his work rate, class and sportsmanship both on and off the field to draw the praise of the footballing staff.
Continually embodying the club’s values, Highmore is one of the most-respected players at the club, making him a worthy winner of the Players’ Player award.
