Canberra defender Guy Richardson is keen to test the Demons' premiership credentials against Southport on Good Friday as the club looks to rectify a disappointing defeat to Redland on Saturday afternoon.

The 60-point-loss ensured Canberra would enter the Southport showdown at Phillip Oval in need of a win as the club try to cement a top-six spot.
"It was a disappointing performance, we really pride ourselves on our run, our spread and our ball carrying and they completely outclassed us in that regard," Richardson said.
"We have a lot of room for improvement so hopefully we can turn that around this weekend."
Last years premiers Southport will be looking to extend there unbeaten start to the season though Richardson says the Demons' will be up to the test.
"We're really eager to test ourselves against Southport, considering how disappointing the defeat was against Redland we need to come out and put on a good show."
"It's our first game at Phillip Oval this year in front of our home crowd and against the best team in the competition, to get the win would be a huge building block for the year ahead."
Canberra collide with Southport this Good Friday at Phillip Oval, 12pm.
