Kel Evans has won Canberra's 2019 Rising Star award.
Often going unheralded, Evans was one of the Demons’ most consistent contributors this season.

The 20-year-old was a teenage landscaper from Tathra when he started coming to Queanbeyan to play cricket, but he soon became regarded as one of the best young footballers in Canberra.
The former Queanbeyan Tigers midfielder won the Mulrooney Medal as AFL Canberra's best-and-fairest player in 2018 and was promptly snapped up by Canberra for the 2019 NEAFL season.
Evans was quick to impress in his debut campaign, named the NEAFL's Round 16 Rising Star nominee for his best-on-ground performance against the NT Thunder, starring with 30 disposals, 12 marks, and four goals.
The former Queanbeyan Tigers midfielder will look to propel himself further next season in his second year of NEAFL football.
