The Canberra Demons wish to congratulate Jeremy Rowe on his appointment as the senior coach of the Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes Football Club.
Originally from Wagga Wagga, Rowe left SANFL club Port Adelaide, where he was the development coach, to become the Belconnen Magpies playing coach in 2014.
Following Belconnen’s exit from the NEAFL competition, Rowe then joined the Canberra Demons at the start of the 2016 season and has held a number of coaching roles at the club, overseeing defence, development, and most recently, assistant to Kade Klemke.
Canberra coach Kade Klemke has thanked Rowe for his service and contribution to the club.
“It has been fantastic working with Rowey after spending most of our years coaching and playing against each other,” Klemke said.
“Jeremy has been a tremendous asset to our football club and I’m thrilled to see him take the next step in his coaching career, his football knowledge and experience have made him a highly regarded member of our coaching team.”
“He has played a significant role in the development of our NEAFL program and I know it wasn’t an easy decision for him to leave, seeing what’s been built here.”
We would like to thank Rowey for his contribution to our team and we wish him all the very best for the future.
