Canberra vice-captain Mitch Maguire has finished as runner-up in Canberra's 2019 Best and Fairest count.

The 21-year-old polled 115 votes to finish ahead of third-placed Alex Smout on 110.
Elevated to the vice-captaincy prior to the beginning of the season, Maguire has embodied the club’s values this season both on and off the field.
His leadership has been crucial to the club’s development in 2019 and he continues to be one of the most highly-regarded players in the NEAFL.
This is Maguire’s second finish as runner-up in the Best and Fairest count after he won the highest honour in 2018.
