Sainsbury resigns as High Performance Coach

The Canberra Demons Football Club wishes to advise High-Performance Coach, Brendan Sainsbury, has tendered his resignation effective immediately.

High Performance Coach Brendan Sainsbury (Right) has departed.

General Manager of Football, Shaun Young, thanked Sainsbury for his commitment and contribution during his two years at the club.


“Brendan has been an extremely professional and hardworking member of the club’s coaching panel and has played an integral part in the Club’s performances during his tenure,” Young said.

Sainsbury celebrates Canberra's historic elimination final win over Sydney University.

“This was a decision Brendan has been reflecting on for some weeks, and following discussions regarding the potential of Brendan relocating to Brisbane, he felt it was the right time to step aside and explore a new chapter in his career.”


“We thank Brendan for his service and dedication, and we wish him all the best for the future.”
