Canberra Demons midfielder Jarrod Osborne has put pen to paper, signing a one-year contract extension to remain in the blue and gold until at least the end of the 2019 NEAFL season.

The former Sydney Swans Academy product hasn't missed a beat since making his senior debut in Round 2, 2018, playing 17 of a possible 21 games and becoming the 5th Demon to be nominated for the NEAFL's Rising Star award, collecting 24 disposals, 10 tackles and a goal in the Demons' 40-point win over Redland in round 15.
Canberra General Manager Shaun Young said it’s great news to have Osborne recommit for 2019.
“Jarrod is a quality young man, and we are extremely pleased that he has committed his short-term future to our club," Young said.
"Jarrod’s development as a player along with the leadership qualities he demonstrated during the course of the 2018 season will see him emerge as a key member of the Canberra Demons squad in 2019.”
Osborne joins some of the team’s brightest prospects to recommit for 2019, including Tom Highmore, Mitch Hardie and Mitch Maguire.
