Utility Alex Paech will remain a Demon until at least the end of the 2020 NEAFL season after signing a one-year contract extension with the club.
Standing at 197cm tall, the 20-year-old, who is capable of playing either end of the ground, impressed up forward this year, kicking 17 goals from his 17 games.
Canberra General Manager of Football Shaun Young told canberrademons.com.au that Paech’s versatility makes him an important re-signing for the club.
“Alex has shown over the course of his two seasons in Canberra that he can play pretty much anywhere, which is a great asset,” Young said.
“He’s a popular member of our group and we’re delighted that he’ll continue with us next year."
Paech's played 37 games for Canberra since joining from the Murray Bushrangers and GWS GIANTS Academy in 2018.
"I really enjoy living in Canberra and I’ve made some great friendships here,” Paech said.
“Re-signing with the club was a no brainer, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.”
Paech becomes the third player to commit to the club this month, following Jarrod Osborne and Riley Budd.
