Emerging Canberra youngsters Alex Paech and Connor Owen-Auburn have signed contract extensions that will keep them at the club until at least the end of 2019.
Paech made his Canberra debut in round 1 of 2018, and played every game this season, impressing in defence, before switching to a forward/ruck role towards the end of the season.
The 19-year-old received a NEAFL Rising Star nomination after an excellent outing against Aspley in round 12.
Fellow 2017 recruit Connor Owen Auburn arrived in Canberra having not played a competitive football match in over a year, fracturing his foot in round 3 of 2017 playing for GWS in the NEAFL.
The former GWS Giants Academy player went on to play 11 games for Canberra this year, playing an integral role in Canberra’s midfield.
Canberra’s general manager of football Shaun Young said it was pleasing for the club to have secured fresh commitments from the pair.
"Both have shown really promising form at NEAFL level this year and we look forward to watching their continued growth and development in the years to come," Young said.
